    El mazapan


    El mazapán en México tiene una historia única y deliciosa, distinta a la de su pariente. europeo. Aunque el concepto de "mazapán" llegó a América a través de los colonizadores españoles, en México se desarrolló una versión propia que se ha convertido en un clásico nacional: el mazapán de cacahuate.

    En la primera mitad del siglo XX, la tradicional receta de almendra fue adaptada debido. a la abundancia y el bajo costo del cacahuate en el país, un ingrediente nutritivo y accesible. Esta variante comenzó a ganar popularidad, especialmente en el estado de Jalisco, donde en 1942 la familia De la Rosa comenzó a producirlo de manera artesanal.

    Mazapan


    Marzipan in Mexico has a unique and delicious history, different from that of its European relative. Although the concept of “marzipan” arrived in America through the Spanish colonizers, Mexico developed its own version that has become a national classic: peanut marzipan.

    In the first half of the 20th century, the traditional almond recipe was adapted to the abundance and low cost of peanuts in the country, a nutritious and accessible ingredient. This variant began to gain popularity, especially in the state of Jalisco, where in 1942 the De la Rosa family began to produce it in an artisanal way. Gradually, peanut marzipan spread throughout Mexico and became one of the most beloved traditional sweets.
