    Antonio José de Sucre y Alcalá nació en Cumaná, en la actual Venezuela, el 3 de febrero de 1795. Fue un político, mariscal y militar, prócer de la emancipación latinoamericana, principal héroe de la actual República del Ecuador, Presidente de Bolivia, Gobernador del Perú, General en Jefe del Ejército de la Gran Colombia.

    Antonio Jose de Sucre y Alcala was born in Cumana, in nowadays Venezuela, on February 3rd, 1795. He was a politician, marshal and general, Hero of Latin-American independence and main hero of the nowadays Republic of Ecuador, President of Bolivia, Governor of Peru, and Commander in Chief of the Army of the Greater Colombia.
