    Mary Louise Streep nació en Nueva Jersey, es 1949, Es una actriz estadounidense de extraordinarias aptitudes, probadas a lo largo de su trayectoria, a lo largo de la cual ha protagonizado filmes de diferentes géneros. Meryl Streep obtuvo reconocimiento por sus brillantes interpretaciones de complejos y apasionados personajes dramáticos, como en Kramer contra Kramer (1979) o La decisión de Sophie (1982), por las que ganó dos premios Oscar a la mejor interpretación, y Memorias de África (1985).

    A finales de la década de 1980 y a principios de la de 1990 interpretó también papeles cómicos, demostrando así la versatilidad de su talento como actriz. En plena madurez obtuvo un nuevo reconocimiento al ser premiada con su tercer Oscar por La dama de hierro (2011).

    { Mientras realizaba los estudios secundarios, se sintió atraída por la interpretación y encarnó sus primeros papeles en producciones escolares. Más tarde estudió arte dramático en Vassar, hizo un curso de diseño de vestuario y guión en Dartmouth y se graduó en la Yale School of Drama.

    Meryl Streep


    Mary Louise Streep was born in New Jersey in 1949. She is an American actress of extraordinary skills, proven throughout her career, during which she has starred in films of different genres. Meryl Streep gained recognition for her brilliant interpretations of complex and passionate dramatic characters, such as in Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) or Sophie's Choice (1982), for which she won two Oscars for best performance, and Out of Africa (1985).

    In the late 1980s and early 1990s she also played comic roles, demonstrating the versatility of her talent as an actress. In full maturity she obtained a new recognition when she was awarded her third Oscar for The Iron Lady (2011).

    While in high school, she felt for acting and incarnated her first roles in school productions. She later studied drama at Vassar, took a course in costume design and screenwriting at Dartmouth and graduated from the Yale School of Drama. After playing leading roles in several Yale Repertory Theater productions, she moved to New York and appeared successfully in a number of Broadway plays.
