    En 1979, la Organización Mundial del Turismo (OMT) proclamó el 27 de septiembre como el Día Mundial del Turismo.

    ¿Por qué se festeja este día?

    Viajar es una de las actividades más gratificantes para el ser humano, está íntimamente relacionada al placer y a la calidad de vida

    Además, te permite conocer diferentes culturas y otras formas de pensar. Tiene impacto en la economía de las regiones donde se desarrolla y representa un interesante fenómeno social, que moviliza a gran parte de la población mundial. ¿Cómo se define el turismo?

    Es la actividad de viajar y desplazarse por al menos 24 horas fuera de tu lugar de residencia. El turismo está en constante crecimiento desde que se mejoró el transporte. Ahora podemos viajar mucho más cómodos y el transporte es más accesible.

    In 1979, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) proclaimed September 27 as World Tourism Day. The date is considered appropriate as it coincides with the end of the Northern Hemisphere's high vacation season and the beginning of the Southern half.

    Why is this day celebrated?

    Traveling is one of the most rewarding activities for the human being, it is intimately related to pleasure and quality of life. In addition, it allows you to get to know different cultures and other ways of thinking. It has an impact on the economy of the regions where it is developed and represents an interesting social phenomenon, which mobilizes a large part of the world's population.

    How is tourism defined?

    It is the activity of traveling and moving for at least 24 hours outside your place of residence. Tourism is in constant growth since transportation was improved. We can now travel much more comfortably and transport is more accessible.

    Besides the improvements in transportation, why has tourism increased more in recent years?
